Two living areas change the rhythm of a group stay.
There can be conversation in one room and quiet in another. The house doesn’t force everyone into the same space all day.
Augusta, Georgia
Four bedrooms. Four queen beds. Space for eight. And a house that doesn’t look like everyone else’s.
More than a place to sleep
When you’re booking for other people, the risk is yours. Too small, too far away, too generic, too many compromises. Artful Ansley gives the group four real bedrooms, two living areas, a kitchen, a backyard, and a private place to come back to.
Then the house does something most rentals don’t: it gives you something to talk about. The art is everywhere, and it changes the feel of the rooms without turning the stay into a museum visit.

Stay your way
There can be conversation in one room and quiet in another. The house doesn’t force everyone into the same space all day.
Breakfast before the day starts. Coffee while everyone gets moving. Takeout spread across the counter after a long afternoon. The full kitchen keeps the group together without requiring every meal to become an outing.
A dedicated washer and dryer add a useful convenience for longer stays, families, golf weekends and tournament travel.
No sofa-bed arithmetic. No pretending the pullout is just as good. Four actual bedrooms give the group a clearer way to settle in.
Clean lines, bold tile, a walk-in shower, and a soaking tub give the practical parts of the stay some visual character too.
Then there’s the art.
The work throughout Artful Ansley is by Jay Davis—artist, educator, martial artist and river explorer. Water, movement, energy, light and abstraction move through the rooms with you.
You might see a river. You might see a landscape. You might see the edge of a galaxy. There isn’t a required way to look at the work.
Not every painting is about water. Every watercolor begins with it.

04 / Meet Jay Davis
The work throughout Artful Ansley belongs to Jay Davis—artist, educator, martial artist, and river explorer.
For more than two decades, Jay has taught and nurtured young artists, from elementary school through junior high. Outside the classroom, his life has followed a different kind of curriculum: rivers, boats, movement, martial arts, and the discipline of paying attention.
You can feel those influences in the work.
Water moves. Color drifts. Forms appear, disappear, and become something else depending on how long you look.
You might see a river. You might see a landscape. You might see the edge of a galaxy. Someone standing next to you may see something completely different.
That’s part of the fun.
There’s no prescribed way to experience the art at Artful Ansley. No velvet ropes. No gallery voice required. You live with it for a few days. You pass it on the way to breakfast. You notice something different on the way back to your room.
And somewhere along the way, the house starts feeling a little less like a place where art is displayed—and a little more like a place where art lives.
The paintings don’t simply depict water. They seem to understand it.
