Westside’s Season Just Got Real

Westside started the year like it had somewhere to be.

The Patriots beat Josey 49–0, then Lincoln County 48–41.

Since then, the season has gotten heavier.

Richmond Academy beat Westside 35–7. Southeast Bulloch followed with a 15–8 win. Washington County made it three straight losses with a 38–14 result.

Now the region schedule takes over

Westside goes to Cross Creek on Friday, then gets Hephzibah at home before road games at Thomson and a home date with Burke County. Butler closes the regular season in November.

That is why this next stretch matters more than the record looks like it does.

This is the part worth watching

Anybody can follow a team when everything is going right.

The interesting part is what happens after three bad Fridays.

Does Westside settle down? Does the offense get back to what it showed in August? Does a region win change the temperature around the whole season?

We will know more after Cross Creek.
